STATE'S THREE-TEAR PLAN.

ISTANBUL.

The Turkish Government has decided to devise a three-year plan for the promotion of touring in Turkey.

A special department has been called into existence at the Ministry of National Economy and placed under Dr. Vedat Nedim Tor, the very energetic former General Director of the Press.

Four sections have been provided for in the Turkish touring map. One comprises the region around Istanbul and Brussa and also Thrace; another Smyrna and its hinterland; a third the shores of the Black Sea; and the fourth Ankara.

' The investigations carried on simultaneously with the preparation of the plan beautiful sites, historical wealth, health resorts, the present state of hotels and restaurants, casinos, sporting opportunities, and new roads.

. Whilst the plan is, in the first place, make Turkey better known to foreigners, it will also have the advantage of familiarising Turks themselves with fbair.owm oountry.
