TALLOW, HEMP AND FRUIT. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture hae received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London, dated August 12:— "The tallow market continues quiet on the spot, with prices unchanged. "Hemp.—Manila: The market is quiet; K grade, August-October shipment (word mutilated), £20. Sisal: Market quiet and inactive; valuee unchanged. New Zealand: No change. "Apples.—The market is steady. The following are the market values of soundconditioned fruit of the varieties mentioned, the range of prices generally representing the difference between the several grades and/or counts. Variable-con-ditioned fruit of similar varieties proportionately lees in value: —Dougherty, 10/6, 14/; Rokewood, 10/6, 13/6; Stunner, 6/6, 9/6. PRICES OF METALS. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, August 15.
