It has proved its value in improving the performance of our stock and has well repaid the cost of the recording work. With our sheep, however, we have lagged behind in this respect, and it has been left to Massey Agricultural College to evolve a : .. ■ system of recording of registered and unregistered stud flocks which will prove of practical assistance to the breeder in planning His matings and his cullings. The work has been carried out by the Fleece-Testing Department of the College, and we are indebted to the principal, Professor G. S. Peren, and Mr. R. Waters, of the FleeceTesting Department, for the information as to the details of the scheme.
