THAMES ORPHANS.
FAREWELL TO MR. C. I* ORANGE. .(From Our Own' Correspondent.) THAMES, Monday. The largest meeting of the Thames Club to date took place at the Miners' Union Hall on Saturday, when a farewell was tendered to Bro. C. L Grange, one of the original members of tn» club and the immediate past president Visitors from Auckland and all parts of the Auckland province attended. During the evening the president, Bro. C. S Donovan, paid tributes to Bro. Grange I and wished him, every success in hie new ! position as secretary-manager of the Auckland Hospital. He then presented Bro. Grange, with a handsome clock as a token of the esteem end respect in which he was held by the members of the Thames club Bro. Grange suitably acknowledged the gift. . , i The- chairman for the evening was Bro. W. H. Hemminewsy, who gave an interesting address on his travels in many conntries.
An enjoyable evening concluded with cheers for Bra. Grange,
