DAMAGED BY FIRE.
STOLEN MOTOR CAR. BLAZE ON MOUNT EDEN. Stolen from Campbell Road between 8 and 11.15 o'clock last night, a fiveheater sedan motor car, valued at £235, was found abandoned and on fire at 1.30 this morning on the southern side of Mount Eden. The Mount Eden Fire Brigade turned out and quelled the blaze, but not before considerable damage had been done. The car, which belonged to Mr. Andrew Carnie, of 5, Salisbury Street, Mount Albert, was a 1935 model. Only the water table on the eteep road leading to the summit of Mount Eden saved the oar from going over the bank to the depths below. Detectives are investigaing the matter.
