FRIENDLY SOCIETIES MEET.

WELLINGTON, Monday.
Insurance firms and oth'er organisations directly affected by the Government's social security legislation are not prepared at present to comment on the Hill now before the House of Representatives. A similar attitude was taken up by Mr. JL. G. Shrimpton, secretary of the Dominion Friendly Societiee' Council, when approached to-day. He said the provisions of the bill would be. considered at a meeting of the council in Wellington to-morrow and that the council had'the right to decide whether § i*iblie ctolemanK ctrnrld be made.
