INSURANCE BALL.

Brilliant Success Of Annual Function.

The thirteenth annual ball which was held at the Metropole Cabaret teat evening by the Insurance Officers' Benevolent Fund Trust Board, recorded another outstanding success for the organisation. Blue and gold loops caught with clusters of blue, gold and crimson balloons, festooned the gallery to artistic effect, while the "Insurance" sign in gold letters was placed in vantage positions over the band dais and cubicles. Cosy carpeted borders gave a warm aspect to the dance floor, and tall palms were arranged at the corners of the room. Most attractive were Che decorations in the supper room, where the tables were centred with blue and gold, and adorned with howls of yellow mimosa, pink heath and snowdrops. The floral decorations were carried out by Mrs. C. Dowries.

Delightful music was played by the orchestra, special features being "Ida and Dot" and "Cboiv Chow."

The £iiests were received by the chairman of the ball committee, Mr. H. V. Tregear, and Mrs. Tregear, the totter wearing a graceful gown of .black marli crepe and a squirrel cape.
