TRIBUTE TO CAPTAIN GIBBONS

THAMES, this day.

. At the quarterly smoke concert of the Thames Old Boys' Association on Saturday evening, the president, Mr. E. Watson, referred to the death of Captain R. Gibbons, an old Thames boy, who was president of .the Old Thames Boys' Association in Auckland at the time of his death, and who, by his cheery disposition, endeared himself to all members of the Thames Association. A vote of condolence with the relatives was carried in silence.
