NEW OFFENSIVE.
Loyalist Attack Made West of
Teruel.
REBELS CLAIM SUCCESSES.
(Received 1.30 p.m.) VALENCIA, August 1.
Government troops claim to have launched a new offensive west of Teruel and captured several important villages in Sierra de la Burracin region.
Rebels claim to be steadily forcing back to the Euro 35.000 Loyalists who crossed the river last week, increasing their difficulties by opening dams to raise the level of the stream.
CRUISERS ATTACKED.
LOYALIST BOMBERS' CLAIMS.
(Received 11 a.m.) BARCELONA, August 1. Loyalist bombers attacked the rebel cruisers Canarias and Cervera off Cartagena, and claim to have damaged the former.
REBEL ALLIES. ITALIAN 'PLANES IN SPAIN. (Received 9.30 a.m.) ROME, August 1. Between July 13 and 25, Italian aircraft in Spain made 2808 war flights and dropped seven and a half tons of bombs.
