PAGE FOR EX-SERVICEMEN.
-As an ex-Digger and one who Wfcs hack on tbo~e years overseas with the X.Z.E.F. for the glorious comradeship t*hoy held and also as secretary of the Feilding Returned Soldiew* Association, a body which has a.~ it- aim the holding together or those link* which form an inseparable part of the memories of the average '"old soldier,*' may I extend to yourself and the "Auckland Star" my congratulations and appreciation of the new feature you have started in the "Star" with the "Ex-Servicemen , * Page.' , Such an innovation on the i*rt of one of the leading daily papers of this Dominion must have a favourable reaction on the efforts associations such ae mine and many others are doing to further the interest* of returned men, and I trust that the spirit actuating the appearance of this feature will be taken up enthusiastically by ex-serricenien. Aβ a suggestion to help men scattered from one end of the country to the other and who perhaps have not seen each other for yeans, would it be possible to run a "Lost fraite" section, wherein returned men can seek tie whereabouts and addresses of old comrades? I think some such introduction as this would prove helpful. I wish the venture you htT6 made every success and look forward t* reading many a "tali" story on the "Exservicemen's Page" in days to come.
