A well-known resident of Huntly, Mr. William Ingram, a miner, aged 37, had his right leg amputated, below the knee in the Waikato Hospital as the result of being run over by a railway engine at Huntly on Saturday evening; Mr. Ingram was crossing the railway line just south of the Huntly station, when it is believed he slipped.
