Some surprise was caused in racing circles to-day when it was learned that the Hteu-Hi'de of the Wellington Racing Club had disqualified Bluffer, winner of the Novice Handicap at the recent Trentham iiicuuiig, and liad awarded the event to Siy fox, who had finished second. Supl/oitci-fi oi ii'iy Fox bemoaned an unkind fate that had deprived them of a first dividend. Proclamation now gete second money, and Yours Truly has been awarded third place.
The Novice Handicap was open only to thosu hoises who had not won a stake of more than £100, and it was learned, subsequent to the running of the Wellington Novice, that Bluffer had won a race worth £ 123 to the winner as a two-year-old.
