MR. SAVAGE IN SOUTH.
GOVERNMENT AIMS OUTLINED.

WAIMATE, Monday.
The aims and achievements of the Government were outlined by the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, at a combined civic welcome and eocial this evening. Mr. Savage, who was accompanied by the Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb, was welcomed by the' Mayor of Waimate, Mr. G. Dash. Other speakers were: Mr. J. S. Adame, president of the Waitaki Labour Representation Committee, Mr. J. Demeey, of the local 'branch of the Farmers' Union, Mr. J. Bitchener, of the Waitaki County Council, and Mr. D. Barnee, M.P. for Waitaki.
