STREET APPEAL.
ORGANISATIONS BEHEFIT.
Two welfare organisations in the city, will benefit from the joint street appeal held in Auckland to-day, and sponsored by the Mayoress, Lady Davis. The greater portion of the collection will go to the 11 orphanages controlled by the Auckland Orphanages' Advisory Council, while the remaining proceeds, which will be 30 per cent, will be devoted to the work of the Society for ihe Protection of Women and Children.
