FORM OF HORSES AFTER HANDICAP LET-UP.
JJS of. the best class horses who were let up in their handicaps by the Reassessment Board have won 17 races this season. They have also been 10 times second and 13 times third. Supertax was the most successful. He began from 2.10, 2.43 end 4.32 and won six races and gained one second and three thirds. Before being let up in his handicap, he had run sevewl races which suggested that a throat trouble would soon end his career, but an eE t,on and r «*- had a beneficial effect on him, and he won a series of t>pnnt races m fine style. So improved did his breathing become, that he ran third in a high-class field over two miles in the interDominion championship, and wag fourtfl in the Grand Final, which was decided over one mile and five furlongs.
