OLYMPIC GAMES IN 1944.

LONDON, July 17.

A message from. Tokyo says the Olympic Committee cabled to the International Committee 'abandoning the Olympiad of 1940 and intimating Japan's intention, of bidding for the Games in. 1944. The message adds that the Japanese sporting bodies are still loyal to the Olympic spirit.
