Mr. M. F. Vigeveno has been officially recognised as Vice-Consul for the Netherlands at Wellington, states the Gazette.
Messrs. F. W. Schramm, A. S. Richards and YV. J. Lyon, M.P.'s,' will leave by the Limited express this evening for Wellington.
Mr. T. C. Bowker has been appointed deputy-registrar of births, deaths and marriages at Auckland, according to the Gazette.
Messrs. M. J. Moodabe, R. H. Allan, E. J. Mcßrearty and E. Bartleet will travel to Wellington by the Limited express to-night.
Mr. R. E. Price, Conciliation Commissioner, will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this even.'ng in order to attend a dispute there tc-niorrow.
Mr. L. R. Spring, the well-known member of the Grafton Cricket Club and an Auckland representative, has left Auckland to set up business in Whakatene.
Mr. P. McFarlane, A.M.I.C.E of Auckland, and Mr. G. K. Armstrong, 8.E., of Eangitata, have been appointed assistant engineers to the Dunedin City Council.
Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Edward L. Ellinghani, G.C.8., C.M.G., C.8.E., Inspector-General of the Royal Air Force, will inspect the military air base at Hobsonville next Sunday.
Commodore H. E. Horan, First Xaval Member of the Xaval Board and Chief of the Xaval Staff, Wellington, arrived by train from Wellington this niornin* and will return by the Limited express this evening.
Mr. Charles Douglas, for many years secretary o f the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, has been appointed assistant general manager of the company. Mr. E. J. Phillips nas been appointed secretary.
