Perfect weather prevailed for the annual meeting of the Hawke'e Bay Hunt to-day. There was a good attendance, but the track was heavy. Ajiot! and Red Kufus were the leaders. Coil jumped badly at tlie first fence out of the straight, and at the fiv«'-furl<>ng i>ost Huntsinans ( hoi'im still had charge. Ika being next, with Red Kuril*. Lovehlt and Atfog loliowing in that order. At the hah-niile Jie order of the three leaders was altered. Lovelilt going to the front to lead for ,he rest ot the journey. She won roin- ( itably by two lengths from Hcil Hums. Ajiog finishing third, four lengths further .Hick. Huntsman's Chorus was next. Finished Strongly. Imogen was the first to show out in the Okawa Maiden, and led down the back from Patches, .Sunny Lass. Hastings West. Refulgent and L'eutrepoise. Appronching the turn into the straight Laughing Song went up into fourth place. Imogen was a shade ahead of Patches as they turned tor home, but the latter, finishing strongly, got home by a neck from Imogen. Laughing Song wan two lengths away third, and Hasting* West fourth.

Chapter of Accidents. Successive mishaps marked the Hunt Cup Steeples. At the first jump the lead was held by Interlocutor from Skerryvore and Sabatini, but .Interlocutor fell nt the stand double, where Master Hector ran off and retired. Skerryvore then led from Kikiroki. Snbatim and Royal Toast. Bang Bang also ran off, but re-entered the race, although a long way back. Lady Cnllaghnn fell at the post and rails, where the order was Skerryvore, Kikiroki, Lady Callaghan. Royal Toast, Sabatini and Power Chief, the last two-named being a long way back. Skerryvore led into the straight again, but Kikiroki was in charge at the stand double from Skerryvore, Royal Toast, Sabatini, Power Chief and Hilaria. At the post and vailn again both Royal Toast and Power Chief toppled [The next mishap was Skerryvore, who fell at the railway bend jump, but was remounted. Kikiroki was a considerable distance in front at this stage, and he went on to win easily by a furlong from Skerryvore, who overtook the tiring Sabatini. Trailer In Front. Trailer was always handy in the Riverslea Handicap. Boat Song led paet the •itand the first time from Trailer, Screen Star, Gironde, -Coleneo, Seyfried and Iddo. Ait tbe five-furlong post the order was Boat Song, Gironde, Screen Star and Tractile, with the rest of The field bunched. There was little change along the back, and at the railway bend Boat Song still led from Gironde, Trailer. Screen Star and Tractile. Trailer was the first into the straight, followed by Gironde, Boat Song and Screen Star. Trailer went on to win by two lengths and a half from Tractile, with Hamarin a length and a half away third. Gironde wta fourth. Tres See Seores. Aβ the field went past the stand in the Soutra Flat Handicap. Mesurina had charge from Kohika, Salon, Princess Isabel,: Passion Fruit and Tree Sec. This order .was maintained round to the railway bend, where Tree. -Sec was etill last. , The field was well bunched; with Mesurina in front at the entrance to. the straight. but with whips out Tres Sec came through to draw away and win easing up.by a, length from Mesurina, with Passion Fruit on the outside a length and a quarter further back. Seertd Well.. Colleen Gain and /Red Witch were the first to break the: line in the Waitangi Handicap, followed by Brilliant Acre, Proclamation and Haile Selassie. At the half-mile Colleen Gain still led,' and Proclamation moved into eecond place* with Red Witch, Haile Selassie, Wilful Lady, Oreenore and Brilliant Acre following. There vae no alteration into the straight, and in the run home Red Witch, wae the first to weaken. Proclamation went on to win by a length and a- quarter fromj Wilful Lady, wbo came from well back to gain eecond place, just ahead of Haile SeTamie. Then followed Gai Wind, Red Witch', Colleen Gain, Greenore.

-' , Ltd All the Way. In the Tikokino Handicap First Chapter went to the front from barrier rise, followed by Nelnmbo, Soho, Buster Brown and Big Dook. Jit the half-mile Finrt Chapter had increased his lead from Nehimbo, Big Dook, Buster Brown end Pladie, with Slippery bringing up the rear. The order was maintained into the utraitfht, when First Chapter drew out and won easily by three lengths from Nelnmbo, with Pladie five lengths away third. Then came Soho, Kahikatoa, Big Dook and Buster Brown. . . . 1 . Later result* are:—
