MOTORIST HURT.

CROSSING COLLISION.

Head injuries were suffered by Mr J John McKenzie, a motor mechanic, aged 27, married, of Waharoa, when his car was involved in a collision with a rake of trucks following the lighted carriages of a south-bound mixed train at the level crossing on the main highway between Motumaoho and Morrinsville last night. Mr. McKenzie stopped his car as he saw the train approaching, and, starting again when he thought the last of the carriages had passed, drove into the trucks. He was able to go home when his injuries had been treated by Dr. G. Craig, of Morrinsville.

The car, a light one, was thrown to the side of the track and considerably damaged.
