PLEA FOR THE WIVES.
We don't think it is fair that if it ifi a wet day our men are not paid for it. It » not their fault that they cannot work; some are willing to work and some are not. We wives have to meet our bilk, and if our men have days off through wet weather they cannot be paid. If men cannot be paid for the full day, why not meet them half way and •rive them half a day* pay? That would be better "than nothing. WORKERS' WIVES.
