The following information has l>ecn Citltlcd to Ix>iid>m for the period ended .Jul.v 2. comprising lit crushing days:—l-1,118 tone of ore were crushed for a result of ;5772 tine ounces of gold and 31.01)1) tine ounces of silver. This includes 7<> tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 21 tine ounces gold and 115 line oiiucee silver.
No. 0 Level, North Branch, Martha Lode. —Driving west of Giddcn's crosscut: The next 44 feet i« ore of good grade, from .">ft to tift wide. Ttte dip of the lode is in the north. No. 7 level, west section of Edward lode, driving south-west: The next 15 feet assays 18/t) per ton. Width of quartz is about two feet. ALEXANDER MINES. REPORT FOR JUNE. Nib. 6 crosscut: This was advanced on good reef country for a distance of 33ft from the main crosscut, a little water making on the eastern side of tile face, which is now stopped. No. 6 rise: A rise from No. 6 level to meet the winze from No. 5 level has been started and Bft risen -to date. The country looks well and a fair amount of water is coming out at south end of the rise. No. 5 winze: The winze has been sunk a further 3ft, making a total depth of 70ft from the level. The winze continues to make n lot of water. Stoping: Still taking out a little stone under the intermediate level, with four men employed. YIELDS OF COMPANIES. .Mossy Creek.—3ooz 2dwt<3, 492 yards, 132 hours. Worksop Extended.—44ox, 10,000 yards, 124- hours.
