TENTATIVE FIXTURES.

HAMILTON, Thureday. Mr. A. W. Ward, president of the Hamilton Agricultural Society, at the society s annual meeting said that the summer show had marked the 40th annivcreary of the foundation of the society. A feature of all four shows was the good exhibits of cut flowers and the high standard of the work in the decorative classes.

The pi-fncipal prizewinners were:— Hamilton Daffodil Cup, Mr. H. M. Hammond; MacDiarmid Cup, novice class, Mr. A. D. Brown; spring show points prize, Miss D. de Lacey; cut flowers, summer show, Anniversary Bowl, Mrs. Vere Chitty; Country Cup, Fairfield Women's Institute; Hamilton Dahlia Cup, Mr. W. Stony. Aggregate points prizes for all shows: Rose Bowl, Mrs. E. A. Cox; decorative classes, Mre. H. H. Fow; all classes, Mrs. H. H. Fow; novice trophy, Mies D. de Lacey. t The balance-sheet showed that accumulated funds stood at £116. Tentative show dates were fixed as follows:—Spring show, September 8 and 9; summer show, November 24 and 25; autumn show, March 2 and 3; late autumn show, April 20 and 21. The following officers were elected: Patron. Dr. H. Douglas; president, Mr. A. W. Ward; vice-presidents, Mesdames H. M. Hammond and C. L. MacDiarmid and Messrs. C. M. Gudex and H. M. Hammond; committee, Mesdames C. W. Armstrong, T. Simpson, A. G. Downes, J. Smith, T. A. Blake, D. Seymour, A P. Sandford. E. C. Day, A. W. Ward, F D. Pinfold, A. L. Fea. H. H. Tombs, Mioses B. Pinfold, von Stunner. I. Vercoe, S. Tudhope. Messrs. T. Simpson, E- C. Smith. Storry, Hansen, K. Johnston, S. A. Handley; secretary, Mr. R. A. Johnston.
