AFLOAT AGAIN.
SHINGLE BARGE TOWED OFF. The shingle barge Rover, which was beached at Mission Bay in the early hours of Wednesday morning after she had to\iclie;l a submerged rock on the edge of a reef oIT Kohimarania. was successfully refloated and towed off last night. Temporary repairs were made at low tide on Wednesday, with the object of floating the vessel off at high tide, but this proved impossible. The owners of the Rover are McCalliim Brother, riiing-le merchants, of Auckland. The vessel was being towed from the Hauraki Gulf with a load of shingle when she touched the rock. The force of the impact drove" the fluke of an anchor, which was hanging over the side, into the plunking below the water line and. as the vessel appeared to be making water rapidly. *he was beaehefl.
