PROTECTING DOMINION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. To judge by the reorganisation takin" place in the defence forces of the Dominion, the Government seemed to be doing its best to protect New Zealand against any danger which might arise from the present situation in Europe, said the Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, M.L.C., former Minister of Defence, at the opening to-day of the Dominion conference of the South African War Veterans' Association.
