AUCKLAND TO SYDNEY.

MAYORAL GOOD WISHES

Cabled greetings between the Mayors of Auckland and Sydney were exchanged when a courtesy call was made by Sir Krnest Davis to the offices of the Pacific Cable Board in the Chief Tost Office, Auckland.

In the course of his cablegram Sir Ernest referred to the historical link between New South Wales and Auckland, which had not been weakened by passing years, and to the pleasure with which Aucklanders followed the celebrations, showing the community of interest between the two cities.

Alderman Nock replied that Sydney retained happy recollections of the visit of the New Zealand returned soldiers' contingent, and now awaited the match with the All Blacks. Citizens of Sydney, he added, wished Auckland all success in ite centennial celebrations.
