AMERICA'S HUGE DEFICIT

WASHINGTON, July 13.

President Roosevelt yesterdav issued revised Budget figures "for the* 1938-39 fiscal year. Expenditures in the current fiscal year will total 8,985.000,000 dollars, due to recession relief payments. Receipts are estimated at only 5,001.000,000 dollars, also due to the recession.

The net deficit -is estimated at 3,984,000,000 dollars, and the gross public debt at 40,650,000.000 dollars, a record.
