Last year the crack Italian colt. Donatello 11., was sold by his owner* and breeders, Signor F. f'e*io and the Marchese Incisa. for £4.3.000 at Newmarket to the French sportsman M. E. Esmond. He was unbeaten as a two and three-year-old in Italy, but in the Crand Prix de Paris Clairvoyant defeated him. Call Boy was sold in England for £60,000, Tracery for £53,000. while Solario brought £47,23.1 at auction.
