The preferences, with reported business at 7/. have registered a rise of 1 3 in a fortnight. Drops of I'd in tho sale price of British tobaccos and Broken Hill Proprietary were the chief movements in the miscellaneous division. Sellers asked £'2 (5,3 for Tobaccos and £2 16.2 for Broken Hill Proprietary at the close of business. Almost all Australian issues were marked down, exceptions being Australian Glass, which had an inquiry at £4 12", and Wilcox, Mofflins, with buyers at 5 6. Oil shares relapsed a few pence, but metals looked a little stronger. Mount Morgans gained Id, and North Broken Hills 3d, while Mount Lyells were unaltered.
