BLOOMS TWICE A YEAR.
A tree that blooms and withers twice every year, end ha* differently shaped leaves each time it bloom*, is" puzzling thu inhabitants ,»f Anuradhapura. Ceylon'ri famous holy city. In some seasoi.s the tree liears a fruit resembling a custard apple. The natives have nnmed it the "Unknown tree." for no one has been able to tell what it is. Scientist* are now studying the tree in the hope of learning the reason for this remark--1 able phenomenon.
