35 YEARS MARRIED. DEATH REVEALS SECRET. (Special.—By Air Mall.) LONDON. May 28. Happily married for 35 years without any of his re'atives knowing of his marriage, a man ha-s just died in Bournemouth at the age of 78. He was Colonel J. A. Hughes, C.8., of Barry, for many years clerk to the Barry Council. When the Colonel died last week the council, not knowing that he had and daughter, «nt a telegram of condolence to his nephew, Captain J. B. Price Hughes, thinking he was the next-of-kin. Captain Hughes told the council of their mistake, am} they hastened to send another telegram to Bournemouth. Even in his solicitor's office, where he worked for so many years, no one ever ) suspected that the colonel was not a i confirmed bachelor. "We never even guessed that the colonel was married." said a meralier of the staff. "He was always a reserved man, but this is a surprise." I He used to spend all the bank holidays and a long time in the summer away from Barry, and never said where he was going. -
