Evangelist's World Travels

AVOIDING almost completely religious doctrine and FourSquare gospelling, Aimee Semple McPherson has written under the title "I View the World" (Robert Hale), a fascinatingly interesting account of a long world tour.

She visited Japan, China, Singapore, Calcutta, Benares, Bombay, Madras, Suez, Cairo, Aden, Jerusalem, Italy. France and Germany, but the most graphic chapters are those dealing with her experiences and observations in India. All the revolting and pathetic aspects of life revealed by Katherine Mayo in "Mother India" are emphasised and retold. It is purely and simply a record of travels and impressions, breezy and unconventional, told by a strongminded woman possessed of literary talent.
