Princesses Tap
THE two Princesses are learning to tap dance. Their "nanny" called on a London ballet shoemaker recently and ordered tap dance shoes for Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret Rose. "The head nurse came to see me for some new tap-dance shoes." the shoemaker. Mr. Colonibino Porselli, of London, told a press reporter. '"But she brought no measurements. She asked for a pair size 10 and another pair size two arid a half. I asked her to get measurements of the line of the fpot, the joint measurement, and the instep measurement. "When these received, I made a pair for each of the Princesses from a nice piece of pink glace kid. The Princesses had some shoes before, but they were of red glace kid, and not quite so popular. ."I think the new shoes are the best I have yet made." The two Princesses have, been learning to dance for nearly two years, but only recently have they taken* a serious interest in it. They are now beginning to make excellent progress, and will soon acquire real proficiency. Poreelli has made dance shoes all his life, and for the last 12 years he has worked in London. He is Italian, and many famous dancers are among his clients.
