SOUTHERN MAORI SEAT,

INTERCARGILL, Friday

It was announced to-day that Mr. Thomas Bragg, of Stewart Island, would contest the Southern Maori seat as an Independent National candidate. Mr. Bragg, who stood as a*h Independent in 1935, is the ' second candidate announced, the sitting member, Mr. E. T. Tirikatene being the Labour party's nominee.
