FOR WAIKERIA ESCAPEE.

TE KUITI, Wednesday. [ A prisoner, Robert John Mann, aged 21, who escaped from the Waikeria prison camp on May 25, and was recaptured after a short period of liberty, appeared before Messrs. S. N". Ziman and W. F. Hoffman, J.P.'s, in the Te Kuiti Police Court this morning. Mann was charged with being an incorrigible rogue, and with unlawfully converting a car valued at £335, the property of JN. hymes, of Otorohanga. Mann pleaded guilty to both charges. Mann was sentenced to six months' imprisonment on both charges, the terms to be concurrent. The eentence is to be served on the completion of that he is at present serving for converting a motor car at Whangarei. N °
