"EUROPEANISED."
AUSTRALIAN OUTLOOK.
COSMOPOLITAN TREND SEEN.
Annihilation of time and distance eeems to be giving Australia a new and wider outlook, according to Professor W. Anderson, who occupies the chair of philosophy at Auckland University College, and who returned on the Monterey to-day from a vieit to Sydney. "Some people think Australia is becoming more 'Europeanised,'" Professor Andereon said. "Visits to Britain by Cabinet Ministers, and the establishment of more direct air communication appear to have had a lot to do with this.
"The result is a more cosmopolitan point of view, and a very livj.y interest in European affairs. There is no weakening of the national spirit, however. It is "growing stronger, if anything."
