Mr. R. J. Kerridse is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. James Fletcher -will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this evening. Mr. W. J. Lyon. M.P., arrived from Wellington by the Limited express thi; morning. The Rev. J. D. Raine. of Whangamomona. has been appointed vicar of Xgaruawahia. Mr. and Mr?. J. M. McGregor, of Ohai. will leave for San Francisco by the Monterey to-day. Dr. C. M. Greenslade, of Dunedin, will be a passenger by the Monterey to-day for S<in Francisco, en route to England. Mr. A. L. Reynolds, of the Government Tourist Department, has left to take up a position with a British firm in the ludiee. Mr. S. L. P. Free, of Masterton, formerly a stipendiary magistrate, will leave by the Monterey to-day on a world tour. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Free. Mr. H. V. Coo will leave by the Monterey to-day for California. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Coe and their family. Mr. C. V. Smith, of Dunedin, will leave by the Monterey for San Francisco to-day. He will be accompanied by his wife. Mr. J. E. Astley will leave by the Monterey to-day en route to San Francisco, Canada and Alaska. He expects to be absent for about four months. Mr. J. A. Finlayson was re-elected chairman of the Whan.aarei Harbour Board at the annual meeting. Mr. E. L. Wliimp was re-elected deputy-chairman. Mr. F. G. Farrell, president of the Automobile Association (Auckland) and Mr. A. Grayson, a member of the council, will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this evening.
