NEW MOTOR BOAT.
LAUNCHED ON SATURDAY. At four o'clock on Saturday afternoon a motor boat was launched from the yard of Mr. Percy Vos to the order of Mr. Frank D. I'idgeon, of St. Heller's Bay. The new craft is 26ft overall, Sft 61n beam and 2ft 31n draught. She is of the modern type with flaring bows and a streamlined coupe cabin top which covers the main cabin and eugine room, giving Oft 'Jin headroom throughout. The fore cabin is' Oft 6in, the main cabin loft tiin and the cockpit 6ft, with liarrow side decks and I'ft tiiu deck aft. The usual cupboards and lockers are fitted, the motive power being a U/Ul model six-cylinder <Jray engine developing about 00 h.p. which should give the craft a good turn of speed. On a trial run yesterday the boat, which has been named Spindrift 11., did over 12 knots which will be exceeded when the engine has been run in.
