WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist, issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate to fresh nnrth-wfistei-lv wind, backing to westerly. Weather cloudy to overcast, with rain, but improving to-morrow. Temperatures moderate to mild. Sea moderate to rather rough on the west coast, slight to moderate on the east coast. Pressure remains relatively high in northern latitudes, but a slight depression is situated to the west of the Auckland peninsula, and a series of westerly depressions continues to pass in the south. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate to fresh north-westerly winds, backing to westerlies. Weather cloudy to overcast; intermittent rain probable. Barometer unsteady. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Qulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north, moderate; sea, smooth; weather, overcast and dull; visibility, good; barometer, falling.
