FOOTBALLERS HURT.
Casualties were frequent in the South Auckland Rupbv competitions on Saturdav, ami besides numerous minor holdup- two senior-grade players received fractured legs while playing for Bombav a-ahist White Star, Pukekohe. at Bo'.nba~v. A forward A. Dawson, received a fractured right leg when he collided with another player. After receiving medical attention he was taken bv car to the Auckland Hospital. Playfor Mercer, at Mercer, K. Laing, prominent South Auckland representative forward. al<n r-ceivr-d a fractured lef which necessitated his removal to hospital.
