INQUEST OPENED.

AUCKLAND MAN'S DEATH. BODY NEAR RAILWAY LINE. No details were available to-day-regarding the manner in -which Mr. James Phillip Milne, of 31, Speight Road. Kohimarama, met his death. His body was found in a mutilated condition beside the Main Trunk railway line near Whangamarino yesterday. An inquest was opened to-day before the Franklin coroner, Mr. C. K. LawrieJ and was adjourned after the body had been identified by relatives from Auckland, who stated that Mr. Millie left Auckland on Thursday night with the intention of going to Napier. He was about 26 years old.
