She has gone to Capri, famous honeymoon island in the Bay of Naples, and with her is the exorganist of St. James' Church, Piccadilly, London. He is better known to the world as Professor Leopold Stokowski, the orchestra conductor. Greta (iarbo and Stokowski have been staying at Ravello, in Italy. In Capri they are staying at a small hotel to avoid publicity. And Stokowski's friends in America believe they are already married. It is even suggested that (larbo may give up her film

But Oarbo's denial of romance still ! stands. "I won't deny tliat Mr. Stokowski and I are very pood friends," she said, '"tint as for marriage to him—no. That is out of the question." Poliee were called out to control crowds when a woman, believed to be (iarbty arrived in Naples by car. The only other occupants of the car were the chauffeur and a large dog. The visitor called at a leading fashion salon and tried on a gold lame gown and several silk dresses. The word spread that the famous film star was in the shop, and big crowds assembled to see her. Police had to clear a way for her to come out. and even then she was unable to jret into a taxi because she could not reach her own car through the crowd.
