COLLISION SEQUEL.
DAMAGES FOR MOTOR CYCIJST " \ After having heard medical testimony, in the course of which it was stated that doctors had recommended claimant's discharge from the Air Force, a jury awarded £1000 general and £133 special damages to Harold Gordon Allan (Mr. Holmden), aged 23 years, an aircraftsman, of Hobsonville, in a case at the Supreme Court in which he claimed £2500 general damages and £175 special damages from Albert Ainsworth (Mr. Goldstine), lorry driver, of New Lynn. The claim was made in respect of injury to his right knee, suffered by claimant on August 16 when a motor cycle he was riding collided with a motor lorry driven by defendant. The case was heard before Mr. Justice Oallan, and the only question in dispute was the amount of the claim.
