CUCKOO SUPERSTITIONS.

There are many strange superstitions connected with the cuckoo. Most common is the belief that whatever you are doing when you first hear the note of the cuckoo that you will do most frequently during the year. In many parts of the world it- is still thought that if an unmarried man hears the cuckoo, he will remain a bachelor as many years as the cuckoo calls.
