I RECRUITING IN BRITAIN. (Received 0.30 a.m.) RUGBY, May 19. Reeruitin™ for the Regular Army showed a distinct advance throughout j the country last week. The intake for : all arms was 930, an increase of 66.» J over the corresponding period last year. In a statement at the Royal Tourna- ! ment on recruiting, the Secretary of State for War. Mr. L. Hore-Belisha, said the normal intake into the Regular Army at this time of i«• year bad been about 400 for many years As to the territorials, the results in the last two months had surpassed all records.
