MAYOR INSTALLED.
MOUNT ALBERT. CIVIC SERVICE FIXED. After performing the ceremony of installing Mr. H. A. Anderson as Mayor of Mount Albert in the Mount Albert Borough Council Chamber on Wednesday evcning, the town clerk, 3lr. T. R. Conjalton, extended congratulations on behalf of the staff, and assured the Mayor of continued service and loyaltv.' In reply, Mr. Anderson thanked the staff, and in addressing the councillors said he felt sure that they all came to the chamber, with the same object in view—that of service to the borough. Mr. V. A. Coyle was appointed deputyMayor and standing committees were appointed with chairmen as follows:— Legal ai;i finance. Mr. F. B. Watts; works. Mr. V. A. Coyle; public services and town planning. Mr. B. Brigham; purchasing, Mr. G. E. Carr. Messrs. B. Brigham and H. L. Kayes were appointed delegates to the" Auckland Suburban Local Bodies' Association. It was decided to attend a civic service at the Methodist Church, New Xorth Road, at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 29.
