It ie anticipated thai before the end of the week Darton Field will be linked with all other aerodromes in the Dominion by means of radio communication in accordance with requirement to be made in connection with commercial aviation in New Zealand. Facilities have been made available for the transmission and reception of radio messages between aerodromes and 'planes. One 'plane operated by East Coast Airways is now fitted with radio equipment, and the other will soon be fitted up. The installation of radio will be of inestimable value to the service, as it will be possible to advise 'planes in flight of any developments which might affect the safety of landing of machines. The new station will operate on a wavelength of 900 metres, with a frequency of 333.3 kilocycles. .
