That confidence is being restored in the real estate market wae evident at the auction sale of Parnell leases at the rooms of T. Mandeno Jackson, 3, Swanson Street, this morning. There was a large attendance of the public and bidding was brisk.
Kijlht of the 13 sections on the new su.briiviriion of church property situated at Cathedral Place, off Parncfl Road, ware disposed of ;it the following rentals after keen competition:—Lot 18, £39 \icv annum; lot 17. £33; Lot IG, £26: lot 13 £0; lot 14, £;>; lot 12. £5; lot 10. £18; lot 4. £22. Throe sections at the corner of Manukau Road and Sarawia Street, Parnell, were disposed of in one block at a rental of £130 per annum.
The auctioneers anticipate disposing of most of the remaining sections, as "the margin between lessor and lessee was in most cases only a mctter of * few shillings.
