German Light Cars Landed in
Britain.
DUMPING DENIED
LONDON, May 12. The newspapers publish pictures showing thousands of German Opel cars lined up at a Southampton dock, where hundreds are being landed every week. Motor traders are dissatisfied with the reply of the President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Oliver Stanley, in the House of Commons, deprecating the possibility of clumping. The "Manchester Guardian" City editor points out that the German cars are sold more cheaply in Britain than in Germany, which exported over half her entire output. The retail price in Britain is £135, £10 under the lowest price for a British 10 horse-power car,
