REPORT SUGGESTED. (By Tplpjrrnpli.— Press Awocintlon.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Tlie Nf.i' Zealiind Educational Institute considers that a consultative committee should lie set up to report to the Minister of Kdueation on important matters of educational principle and practicp. At tlie annual meetinp in Wollinpton to-day it was decided to recommend that tlie committee consist of l."i members, including the Director of Education, seven members noted for their interest in education to be nominated by the Minister of Education, two members to be elected by primary school teachers, one each by education boards. secondary school teachers. technical school teacher*, the combined staffs of the four training colleges and the University Senate.
Tt was decided tliat a report on the subject prepared by Arr. M. ttiske be submitted to tlie executive for elahnra(inn and then handed to tlie Minister as a recommendation.
