WANGANUr, Thursday

At the conclusion of the race for the Connolly Handicap to-day an inquiry vvae instituted by the chief stipendiary steward, Mr. C. Gomer, into the running of Catalogue, who eventually finished in third place. The inquiry was adjourned until after the last •race and finally held over until Saturday morning.

It ie understood that the connections of the horse are not involved.
